we've had a great xmas and now a great new year to all

Great pics for scrapping over Christmas. This is one of the group sledging this time Sam's in Joe's out (at his mums in Manchester) I can never get all 6 together. sooooooooooo much fun Alicia is 26 and has never been sledging how bad is that, but there has never been enough snow.I cannot wait to get started on these pics.

Merry Christmas to everyone

I hope everyone has had a lovely day, we have. We opened our pressies then went to Chelsea Park with Link it was gorgeous, snow and ice every where I had to walk as though my knees were tied together Alicia and Holly thought this was very funny but when you get to my age you have to watch for broken hips!!!!!!!!!! Then we went to mums for lunch and it was "fab-u-lous darlings" so a merry Christmas to you all. Sara and Jay are arriving tomorrow for the weekend so that will be lovely and something to look forward to off to watch Poirot now (well not much on is there!!!)x

Sara and Jay have moved into their new cottage in Streatley ,nr Goring on Thames and we had a lovely weekend here are just a couple of pics one of the girls and one of all five (Holly's partner Sam had to work)

another crafty stash kit page

This is my craft stash page its a couple of Websters papers cut up (a lot) in fact my fingers are stiff this morning, but I love the papers. The kit comes complete with detailed instructions and all embellies, mind you the bling is a prima one from craftden cos I prefered it.
Back to work Monday oh dear never mind got to earn pennies to feed the addiction craft stuff that is!!!!!!!!!!! ha ha.

last weeks scrap class

my finished page from last week is finished wayhay this is Alicia at paradise park in Hayle Cornwall we used to go and stay with a friend each year, oh happy times. Trying to cross a chain swing with open toed sandals (even though it was ONLY 8ins high) extremely dangerous and she wobbled right across and managed not to ruin her street cred.

my baby's birthday

tomorrow is my baby's birthday 22, oh my lord wheres the time gone here's the card Ive made her Bo Bunny papers and a magnolia stamp both from craftden.

Alicia and I made some cupcakes but I cant upload the pictures except all over the place they wont go in a neat line WHY how do I do it Ive been ages trying but have given up they looked ermmm interesting.

I'll have to try again with those pics, it drives me bats when I can't do something I really want to (spoilt brat spring to mind) but why I would want to show the world the mess we were in is beyond me Ive got a second one on but no more or else I'm going to have a

stroke. Thank you Joe (future son in law) hes just helped me so lets see if it works Right its taken an hour

Alicias fetish for shoes started young, granted she doesn't eat them now just looks at and wears loads of them. This is my page I started at craftden on thurs and have now finished, I love this house selling milarky tidy house guilt free crafting OH and before I forget one of the people that came to look around the house tonight said and I quote "I love the craftroom and I would love to keep it" Ann you were right a craftroom adds value to your house!!!

who won't craft? look at the mess

Not very clear pics I'm afraid but you'll get the idea,

This is Holly crafting this afternoon she was so impressed with Alicia's cards she wanted to make some herself so out came the copics the magnolias and lots of mess in my lovely tidy dinning room look at it. We have people coming on Mon to look at the house!!!!!!!! EEK!! major tidy here I think. Anyway these are the cards she has made today I had to wrestle her away to have her tea and this is a girl who couldn't see the attraction in crafting
Not bad for a non crafter but I think they are both hooked

3 posts in 3 days is it a record?

This is a page I did from a crafty stash kit and sketch ,this included an old fashioned paper doily sprayed with glimmer mist and also and made flowers this was mighty hard work cutting out hearts by hand till the third one when I thought ... this for a game my fingers were killing me, so I cheated out came the sizzix and heart die and the Martha Stewart heart punch ( smallest flower), then I had to edge with frayed burlap and scrunch the petals not bad for a first effort but a bit of hard work needs practice. Now when I saw the doily I thought OH and not in a good way but actually I like it not that you can see it well in the pic , I think the only thing I was disappointed in was the lettering it lost itself I think.

Its called hard work and no play it was back in April when the girls did the garden for me. Sara and Holly were supposing to be moving rubbish and there they were playing on the skip they did laugh, you would think they were on a trampoline I was convinced they'd fall and break their necks.

oh Alicia has now decided she'd like some copics and a craft room at her house when they move in Joe has been released from hospital after fainting and incoherent babbling something along the lines of NNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO lol xx

another craftden scrapbook page finished

Oh what a lovely day Ive had today,, yesterday we had the first people round the house so it was immaculate so today I thought chill and craft and that's what Ive done and its been absolutely brill.
I finished this page that I started on Thurs, now this time I was a good girl and stuck to the page Lynne set up for us, so many flowers I love it. I called it "my angels" coz the girls look as though they have halos over them, I assure you its a trick of light on the camera (no angels).
Then I did another page which I'll post tomorrow and then I coloured a few chrimbo magnolias with copics, busy busy but chilled that's me, only probs work tomorrow UGGH!!! lol x

have I got carried away?

This is my craft den layout its a pic of my mum and her dad at Broadstairs in 1952 how cool do they look I love mums hat that brims enormous my grandad is just walking along not a care in the world enjoying his cigarette. Now the page is not in its original form, it should have a pleated flower in the bottom left hand corner but it would NOT stay on so I had to improvise out came the sizzix big shot, I love this machine its so versatile I could not do without it anyway I'm waffling again back to the layout,I layered a sizzix daisy copic coloured a wrong coloured flower then smaller daisy topped with a button, I then got carried away making flowers and cutting out decorative flourishes.the letters are chipboard painted espresso dabber then crackle glaze then I had mix pebble espresso copper terracotta and gold to get the right colour brown!!!!! wow is it a bit busy oh well it might be but I love it thanks Lynne I would never have done this colour way but I love the vintage look, all sepia tones thanks for looking and I hope you don't mind the changes Lynne.x

This was the card i did for Chanelles birthday way back at the end of October a gorgus girl coloured with copics and flowers coloured and shimmered with cosmic shimmers the C is triple embossed with blonde moments embossing powder
Went to http://www.craftden.co.uk/ scrap night on Thurs, thanks girls great night crafting and great night laughing. Lynne you are a saint for being so patient. I'll blog the page later needs some fine tuning!!

last cards for a while !

We have decided to move house I love this house but its too large and needs some expert care and attention I shall be sad to leave, but having said that I have to sell it first (maybe here forever then lol) so Ive got to tidy my craft stuff up horror of horrors.

Ive managed to make three cards probs last for a while, need to keep house tidy here's my first a Christmas card coloured with copics from craftden, along with Bo Bunny papers and blonde moments sentiment stamp. The flowers have been cosmic shimmered.

I'll post another later on in the week gotta spread it out a bit x x

These are the three Christmas cards and a tin I made yesterday at http://www.whichcraftuk.co.uk I had a lovely day, as at the moment I'm getting the house in order the decorating is just about done the ORANGE wall in the kitchen has gone I'm sorry, everyone else is not. anyway back to yesterday magnolia Christmas loved it these pics don't do them justice actually . Thanks Paula had a lovely day will definitely come again.The concertina card is my favorite its not quite finished actually just a bit of tweaking to do with some holly leaves

6 halloween cards to do!!!

I don't do Halloween Ive always been a killjoy as my girls will tell you,(mind you they always went trick or treating) there are only 34 houses on our street and at that time about 16 kids all under 10 and they always went round the street with at least 2 adults to every house trick or treating and every house gave them something including me but I didn't like it!!

I have done these cards for Sarah and jay there are 4 more for Alicia and Joe and Holly and Sam the girls will love them the boys will think Ive lost the plot!! (might have a point there). Anyway better go and finish the next lot

Cute Uggs

Ive gone back to basics and stopped trying to be clever. A nice neat, clear card is what you need (still not Christmas though) I do like the colours of this one and this magnolia image was one of my first ones, I love her little Ugg boots they all get their boots coloured like Uggs coz I want some they look sooo comfy but I'm too old and too fat !!! to even think about having some (hysterical laughter there from every one who knows me) so all my Tidas have them lol

Oh deary me what shall I do???

Oh deary me, my ideas and inspiration have completely left me . It has taken me two weeks to make this card and I think it must be the fourth attempt and let me tell you this image would not take another pulling off ANOTHER piece of paper, but I'm still not keen and I cannot cut a straight line to save my life whats going on?anyway I better get back to meditating to get some ideas for Christmas cards..... coz its coming fast!!!!!!!EEEKKK lol x

christmas tags in a tin

Went to Craft Den in Sheffield on Sunday for an all day class with Ann doing Christmas Tags, thoroughly enjoyed it but did have a bit of a nightmare with my tags how difficult is it to cut tags????,












VERY in my case, DOH!! Ann was so patient sorry Ann. when I got home I cut them on the sizzix (cheat) still need to titivate some of the tags the bling doesn't show on the pic
Loved decorating the tin even did a bit of stitching!I just love covering tins, boxes, anything I loved doing Lynne's ribbon box pic to follow sometime.

yet another magnolia

Here is another magnolia card I love these images and so lovely to copic colour, been to craftden tonight and done some "colouring" so relaxing coffee, gossip, biccys, laughing usual wed night then. Looking forward to Sunday full day workshop making Christmas tags in a tin should be fun .

popcorn the bear, so cute

I have made two cards as part of the design team for http://craftden.co.uk/ both using popcorn the bear stamps they were both coloured using copics, popcorn E33, 35, 37, the blanket Y00, 02, 04, and the feet R00, 11,Lynne sells the full range of copic ciaos,the papers punch and ribbon were also from craft den the sentiment and charm were from stash,then mounted up on 3d foam and nesties

The second is another popcorn bear again done with copics E33 35 and 37, balloons B00 02 and 05 but flat mounted for ease of cutting out, a couple of decoupage balloons, a punched circle with a woodware sentiment and a couple of jewels.all again from craftden.The corners are a sizzix die.

so harsh but true

This is card number three from my week off from work,bit different not cute but I like it and the sentiment is so true I look like something the dogs dragged in without my war paint and soooo old its depressing. In my head I'm still eighteen and a size 12 and when I see myself in a shop window or shop mirror its like whose that old gimmer, oh my its me, its scary. lol never mind eh

Another magnolia, Edwin for a change

This is another card I did whilst I was off on my jolly,This is Edwin looking very studious (nerdy but cute)
The sentiment was stamped onto a jigsaw piece that I distressed with peeled paint and brushed corduroy the embellie across the bottom is from sizzix "frills". I think they are brill, they are 12inch long dies so they can be used in scrapbooking as well. Edwin is coloured using copics from http://craftden.co.uk hope you like him

card for a friend

This is a card I made for a friend who I work with she was a bit cheesed off I think it cheered her up.

OH MY what a good day I had yesterday went to Lynne's all day craft class at http://www.craftden.co.uk and made this framed memory box. lynne did this project at a crafty individuals workshop and thought we would like it.
Best time out Ive had for ages craft, coffee, chat, laugh, LUNCH and a completed project what more could you ask for thanks everyone had a great time and thanks Lynne for your knowledge and generosity.

crafting of a kind (not)

This was my"crafting" yesterday I tiled last week and this week Ive grouted needs cleaning up but Its got to set first. Today I'm tackling the dinning room Hols has stored her car boot stuff in there all summer but Ive put my foot down now I want my room back!! Thank goodness for Lynne's www.craftden.co.uk day class tomorrow and Thurs I'm going to craft in my craft room all day and only come out for food & drink, well my coffees finished so I better get back to it (sob sob)

my first ATC

Lynnes september ATC challenge is TRAVEL

I thought I'd have a go , distressed a piece of pearlesent card with old paper distress ink(can't see very well on pic) then went round edges with tea dye. The stamps I used are from Hero Arts I stamped the London stamp then masked it with a post it note mask and stamped over it with the other stamps and bish bash bosh my first ATC volia done lol

from one extreme to another!

We have had a bit of a transformation at our house in the last two weeks from one extreme to the other or a case of going over to the dark side lol but it makes a good double page.The pout is a usual pose for Holly and her friends which drives me bats. Why spoil a photo but what would I know???It must be a fashion thing.
Anyway Alicia's prediction blonde to dark 6 weeks tend to agree actually, usually doesn't last much longer saves her a fortune with me being a hairdresser but a bit too convenient.

on the lakes

This is a page I did for Sara and Jay. They had been at the lakes on Jays dads yacht last weekend and had a great time .
This weekend they are at the V festival so hope the weathers good. Life in the fast lane eh!!
The embellies were difficult though, boating uh no idea can't do flowers when you're on the water lol.Had to put some sparkles on though hee hee sparkly sails lovely jubley, GOTTA be done somewhere! The green bazzil matches Sara's top very well though I thought.Copics are absolutely brill to change alphas to match colour schemes don't know what I'd without them and alcohol inks
every scrapper should have them.
