that darn icy weather

Just before Christmas (that seems a long time ago) we should have done this page at craft den but the bad weather came and the class was cancelled till a fortnight ago when the class did it only I was still iced up at home. So, I bought the pages last week and have done my take on it.
The papers are Black market paper society I used an old doily and sprayed it with olive vine glimmer mist see bottom left hand side, cut and layered the roses and added some lace used some lime green stickles on the printed swirl, cut and stamped a sizzix postcard die and finally added a hat pin and ribbon as an ode to that hat of my great grandma.
The pic is of my grandma with her mother in law on the beach and really by the page elements you would think they were abroad but actually its Scarborough poetic licence its allowed I hope.
My gran looks so elegant whats that scarf about round her neck she looks as though shes just flown in in her own bi-plane and great grandma, full dress and a ram rod back no slouching there she must have been boiled, oh you have to laugh. sorry I'm waffling again. thanks for popping by x

Thurs night class finished wayhay!

Here is my take on the craftden scrap class on Thurs as usual its "my girls" when we went to Streatly to see Sara and Jay
I really like these black and white papers we used a sizzix swirl and covered with black card to which I added a few platinum pearly doodles and a stamp that says to love is to live life at its fullest. I always used to use stamps on pages at one time but not lately anyway I did today the flowers are punched out and layered up with pinflair glue in a syringe first time for me and believe me that is not as easy as it looks. the title is just chipboard letters coloured with black copic and the flourishes are done with black stickles and a flourish template which was also a first time. thanks for looking

Helens birthday

This is another easel card for my work friend Helen she's just 6 months older than me so I'm very vocal about her age till half way through June then I suddenly go quiet.
This is a sugar Nellie manga stamp coloured with distress inks coz I didn't have my copics did I Alicia?! the paper is wisteria (I think) from craft den on navy bazzil a buckle spellbinder die a few flowers from the never ending stash of flowers organza ribbon a woodware sentiment from craftden and a nestie background on nearly forgot embossed navy mount and there you are done. Thanks for looking.
