This week has been great even though I was dreading it and I mean DREADING it. I was 50 on Friday ugh I'm still 18 in me head untill I see that fat old bird looking back at me in the mirror!!!
I had a fabulous weekend with my family and was taken to Whitley Hall for lunch on Sat by my three wonderful girls, OOH lovely food mmmmmmmmm

At work there was cake and drinks and my lovely ladies gave me cards and pressies which was so touching

I thought that was it BUT when I got to Lynne's at the http://www.craftden.co.uk last night another party with all the crafty girlie's crafty in two ways 1: crafting buddies
2: crafty surprise party

I had NO idea it was all cooked up by Lynne and Lissy and everyone else they all brought cards and food and also gave me some money for my Mulberry messenger bag which Im going to buy myself coz I WANT ONE lol

Blogger will not keep me signed in WHY? WHY? this is drivin me nuts I'm trying to leave comments and it just keeps going round and round and round!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any way here's another magnolia card again no flowers now I just cannot do it again, next time there will be flowers and loads of them lol
There are actually three of these coloured images all slightly different they were for the girls for Easter but I never got round to it (no change there then)they were going on the side of those old fashioned cardboard Easter eggs which were to be filled with mini eggs but somehow the mini eggs kept going missing (NO NEVER that's shocking) so I'm using the Tilda's on cards hee hee.

I just love this image so unbelievably cute that hat Awww I want one mind you Id look a right prawn in that lol Hope you have all had a good bank hol even though the weather has been bad.

tildas rose and a bad memory

A Tilda card made a couple of weeks ago I cant remember much about doing it lol, me brains going faster than I realized. It is prisma penciled and has a cheery-lyn die behind and a few gems, that I do know but cant remember the paper oops.

Thanks to all who have asked after my health, I'm bouncing back now must have DESENSITISED to all the dust and I have decided I am not asthmatic NO, NO, NO I'm not having it, actually I haven't got it coz as I say its improving all the time and the dust is worse now than ever lol. Plaster dust allover but the units should start going in at the end of next week and then SHOCK HORROR I can clean up and get to the dust off the telly so everyone will be clear and not blurry. I have loads of pics as it changes so I will have to scrap them. xx

A way too cute fizzy moon I love these stamps so useful, a large die cut heart and Lynne's yellow flowered, checked and spotted card available from http://www.craftden.co.uk LOVE IT!!!

A couple of flowers with brad middles and a bit of punched card less is more at the moment.
The image is prisma penciled as usual colour looks a bit naff on this computer but in real life its really summery lol xx

oh those detested dresses

Oh how the girls hated these VERY expensive M&S dresses I on the other hand loved them

They were a lovely soft material, lovely small flower pattern, beautiful vintage lace collar and buttons oh how I loved to see them in them all spruced up shiny shoes and woolly tights,BUT they hated them detested them never wanted to wear them especially for a school photo lol.
I thought I would scrap these photos (school ones you would never guess would you) as a constant reminder to them of the BEAUTIFUL dresses I used to make them wear.
This L/O is another one I never finished so I am feeling very righteous at the moment The papers are K&co Madelaine which are so vintage looking just like those dresses ha ha. xx

A page finished at long last

I'm trying to finish things off and this is a prime example I started this at the craft den ages ago and I mean ages,

I have a few to finish and I'm going to do another tonight

This is a photo of Lissy and Holly at a May Day celebration at Hunters Bar School it must be 20 years ago (that's frightening) just look at Lissy's little face whilst holding the carton for Holls she has always been a carer, mind you Holls doesn't always appreciate it lol.

The paper is a Bo Bunny double sided one one side is the base the other side is cut up. Lots of layers of flowers and some stuck on the photo coz there was a mans stomach in the background DOH!!!! there is always something in the background good camouflage job though I think

Each flower either has a pearl or a spot of pearl stickles thingy. The double heart has been crackled glazed and everything is edged with good old frayed burlap. The letters are alcohol inked to make them red and the first letters are cosmo cricket bare chipboard covered in the same paper with red ribbon through and there are two Martha Stewart punched strips across the page. xx

A quick card for Lissy to give someone at work the only instruction was got to have brown hair so a "vision" in pink and orange lol.

I coloured the image weeks ago with prismas and then thought orange ORANGE what was I thinking I found the papers in my stash the only orange ones I have I think and they have pink in them on the little flowers so pink and orange it is. I used the cheery-Lyn tea party doily die they are really strong and cut out really well will be using this baby again and you have to have the lotv sentiment and a bit of ribbon and that's all there is to it xx

What do you have as decoration and furniture in your lounge and dining room?
I have boxes and boxes and all my kitchen stuff lol

I have a settee that you can squeeze onto as long as you don't want to stretch your legs

I cleared the dinning kitchen on Monday and today every surface is covered with boxes The old kitchen is coming out on Saturday so that's exciting but Ive got to clear it again and not sure where its all going I may have to sleep on it lol and knocking through should start in a week or two these bank hols are a pain!! the roof tiles have been delayed AAARRRGGG but I'm chilled really the builders are great and I'm thrilled with progress so far.

Another of my crafty stash kits and another Stephanie Garbett designs with a couple of changes coz I never can do those rosette flowers and so I had to improvise The page is called hold on as Alicia and Holly were holding Sara up because the floor was wet

I have emptied the kitchen today and its all stacked in the front room very stylish not!! but the new one is due tomorrow whoop whoop photos have been taken for the before and after shots and hopefully it will all stack in the space Ive made for it So we will see. xx

A scrapbook page for a change. It is a http://craftystash.co.uk kit from a couple of years ago now and it is a Stephanie Garbett designed page using Websters pages I love these.
The new prima collection that has just come out are similar I think, the prima ones are available at http://craftden.co.uk/ .
This is a picture of Holly she is about 18 months old and still has those wrists that look like they have a bracelet on where the chubby arms meet the chubby hands lol I think she will kill me if she sees this :) I had such a job fining a photo a decent one, I mean we have hundreds but in the 1980's picture quality was rubbish even pics of me in the 60's are better than these they all grainy.People taking pictures of their children now are so lucky with digital cameras Its all so disappointing and frustrating sad life eh if that's all I have to moan about think I better shut up and get another kit done.Be back tomorrow with another coz its bad I haven't done them all yet so I'm off to search for a decent photo of Alicia and one of Sara amongst the zillions of rubbish ones...............xx

THAT'S PINK!!

I have bought the sailor kit from hAnglar stanglar it is so cute and so easy to colour I just love em bit of a toss up between them and Tilda not sure whose winning at the mo.

The papers are from Lynne at http://www.craftden.co.uk/ she has got loads of them in, gingham, spots, flowers, fab-ul-ous all of them and Ill tell you now they will be croppin up again.
This little cutie is polychromo pencil coloured this time again from Lynne's with some glamour dust on her socks, the usual flowers and a few buttons with twine ties (love that look) to fill in a blank space "less is more" what is that lol. A couple of sizzix corners a scrap of gingham ribbon and a craftwork card sentiment to finish. Its very pink isnt it is it too much??Too late now!!
Its my sisters birthday next week so I am ORGANISED shock horror lol just love these tues off work I hope she likes it xx

Even though I love my Tildas I think actually going shopping with Tilda would be a bit too strange even for me lol
A card for a friend, Tilda is masked in front of the boutique window both from the http://www.craftden.co.uk and coloured with prismas and polychromos the polychromos are also from Lynne at craftden and I love them they are just like prismas only don't break so easily and come in lovely colours. I also used my deep punch which I have had for an age but not used and any crafter knows what that is like................
Lots and lots of roses as always I love em.
I hope everyone had a good weekend and here is looking forward to this one I'm on holiday next week "WHOOP WHOOP" (calm down take a deep breath)I am going to craft, craft, craft,

A boys card for a change

Alicia asked me to do a boys card EEEK I always find them hard Boys and Men so difficult (in every way really lol) anyway I digress so I inked up one of my LOTV boys stamp and prisma coloured it then grunge stamped it round the edge which I am doing more now, I like to fill in large expanses of white. The backing papers are a K&CO pad and green bazzil.

Then I added a few buttons tied with twine and added a sentiment in the corner and bish bash bosh done, NOT A GOOD PIC the colours look a bit wishy washy I think richer in real life xx

The weather here in Sheffield has been slightly varied, where I live its been fabulous all day till about 3.30 then it rained hard for 5 mins, in Hillsbourgh where Holly lives its pelted it down and hailed like "the day after tomorrow" its come through her bay window and flooded the cellar and fused the fridge freezer, poor babes and to add insult to injury she is trying to get to Crystal Peaks to pick up her boy friend and is being diverted coz Penistone Road is flooded up to the windscreens on some cars I don't know if it floods in Sheffield Holls is always there!!! she had to be plucked of a building on the wicker in '07 when it was really bad we will have to call her Noah lol xx

I just hope the rest of the weekend is sunny and warm. A lovely easter to eveyone and I shall be sooo glad when mini eggs are off sale !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol xx

Here I have uploaded a load of photos of the extension (Kathryn and Tamara lol) The weather has been excellent and the builders have been great the first 10 days seemed to drag as there was nothing to see coz they had to re site a drain but once that was done they really seemed to crack on I hope you can sort of see whats going on
week 2 this will be the kitchen (looking from the back door) and on the left side is a cloakroom

week 3 Oh things are moving now we have bricks this is the kitchen but from the garden now

week 3 (end of week) wow cookin on gas now, double door gap and a large picture window at side

week 2 down the side where the laundry room and cloakroom will be

the laundry room but not knocked through yet

and end of week 3 on the side no roof struts yet here but a slopping roof too going on BUT the piece d'resistance most people have a porch or even a front door I have a PORTALOO very tasteful very decorous.

Hope you have enjoyed the little trip round my build next time I'll include the patio area and the drive

The first week in May the old kitchen comes out so I will really be roughing it then lol, no sink no hob not had an oven since July so no change there. When its finished I shall never use a microwave again. Happy easter to everyone xx

mums mothers day card

Here is mums mothers day card I had to do it on an 8x8 card as the finished image was quite large so then had to do some filling in lol

Tilda was masked onto the open window and coloured with prismas and paper piecing on her clothes and ribbon, the papers are my minds eye a lovely vintagey look I think.As always lots of roses I just love these and also coz it looked a bare in the corner I used one of my VERY precious crochet flowers it was for mum after all so it is keeping in the family! lol The sentiment is one of LOTVs there is one for every occasion they are sooo useful. A few pins and gems and done xx

just a card I have made for Alicia to give a friend a lotv image and sentiment and love letters papers from ............opps don't know hang on......"first edition" I picked them up from somewhere on my travels lol

I have prisma pencil coloured it which I seem to be doing more and more but what I did do and wasn't a good idea was I stuck the gems on the hat and bag BEFORE I cut it out on the sizzix DOH the gems are now crazed (bit like me actually) but quite effective lol

I'm afraid I have not left any comments for anyone for days as blogger will not let me this has been driving me to distraction so Ive given up.

Ive been looking and think every ones work is beautiful so Ill just apologize again for being AWOL

Anything goes challenge "die cuts"

This fortnight at anything goes challenge its "die cuts" The team have excelled themselves this week and so did the entrants for distressing last time THANK YOU SO MUCH ONE AND ALL This time I did a page from Sara's wedding album that I'm doing for ME and I was so proud of her (sniff sniff an emotional moment) and this one is full of die cuts lol

The letters are Cosmo cricket bare chipboard that I covered with k & co Madelaine paper which is gorg, sooo vintage. I cut the edge with an around the page die cutting machine i.e. a punch, poetic licence here peeps please its not easy you know getting all these things in.

Next we have die cut Madelaine butterflies dressed up with a few pearls and lastly a flower die cut from a couple of paper artsy dies one has one large flower the other has the smaller ones.

Oh I forgot the trusty sizzix die cut shabby heart and leaves. Organza ribbon is knotted through the heart and also through the letters. A bit of lace edges the photo. Everything is from http://www.craftden.co.uk pop in and take a look great goodies to be had. lol

I hope you like this page I do and really that's what matters so to the person who was really quite nasty last week I'm still here and carrying on and not giving up!!! so that's that xx

Sara's birthday card

anything goes challenge distressing

Today we are "doing" distressing and this poor card is distressed within an inch of its life. The background card is from the"linen closet" and I used Tim's distressing tool round the edge and inked with frayed burlap and then I covered a piece of smooth card with distress ink then I have screwed it up and torn it.

Here's a closer image then Ive stamped it up with a mixture of Tim Holtz and paper artsy stamps
The moth is rubbed over with some gold stuff (that's a technical term! lol)and layered up just slightly off so you can see the underneath To finish off I added some recycled metal bits I took off an old piece of work never waste anything, I also pinch (with permission) packing from wine boxes at work I'm like"oh oh don't throw that I'll have it" to use with my beloved sizzix lol I think they think I'm like a nutcase who collects weired rubbish. I have enjoyed doing this its a change and we all need a change now and again

This is Alicia's birthday card from way back in January! I have just found the pics lol

Tilda looks so like Lissy shopping till she drops. I have used magnolia stamps copic coloured and magnolia paper mixed with a LOTV calender stamp and then I used a "stash" stamp that means NO IDEA what make they are lol I love these sooooooo useful, then used black and red papers and red ribbon and punched a length of red card with a Martha Stewart punch one of Lynne's at http://www.craftden.co.uk/ The roses have been sprayed with cosmic shimmer lava red

This is the card I made from the sketch that I have done for this weeks http://anythingchallenge.blogspot.com/ take a wander over and give it a try its quite simple cant be following brain surgery here lol This is such an honour I hope everyone enjoys it.
My card is made in shades of purple, it must be an age thing its either menopausal pink or menopausal purple at the mo, ha ha.
The papers are some I found at http://craftden.co.uk they are a 3 bugs in a rug caboodle kit called rhapsody, love it love it, a bit of vintage lace across the bottom a backing of bazzil in 2 shades of purple and a Marianne die on top of a scalloped nestie in the rhapsody paper, a small bouquet of roses and other flowers in shades of purple again and Tilda as snow white coloured with copics and an ancient sentiment from my stash.Everything is available from craftden xx

A scrapbook page of Holly being her usual self I.E........ A poseur!! this is done with pink bazzil under black bazzil which has been punched up both sides and added lace at the bottom then I tore some 7gypsies patterned paper and threaded organza ribbon through with a primarni pearl (that's a primark pearl bracelet pulled apart and the bits used)
I then stamped down the right hand side and sizzixed some different flowers and layered them up not sure about the title it looks spelt wrong but I checked it on word but never mind I cant spell as some of you know you know nudge nudge as I say it all part and parcel of my charm do you know what I'm taking that off it doesn't look right so which way is right POSER or POSEUR lol can we have a vote please xx

I wore a red jumper yesterday now I do know it has seen better days but how about this, at lunch time I said to my mum oh I think I'll have to throw this jumper its seen better days and its shrunk up a bit ( not that Ive got bigger never) as quick as a flash she comes back with "mmmmmmmmmmmm" she says "I wonder if I boil it up, I could then use it to make some felt flower broaches" now is that a true crafter I thought she was going to whip it off my back there and then I just laughed. Always thinking, always thinking, thats my mother, watch this space lol

This is my Butterfly challenge card today. Appalling pic where's the light lol. As usual a magnolia image, prisma pencil coloured, Bazzil card in a purple and a bit of brown poking out behind a teeny bit of magnolia paper cut out with a sizzix tab die I used another teeny bit of magnolia paper and punched out 3 butterflies and stuck them together ala Dawn Bibby!!!!!!! to make a 3d embellie and stuck a pin in and wrapped a bit of brown ribbon round.

The bazzil card under the image is embossed with an embossing folder of butterflies and I punched a line of even more butterflies with my EK success punch and stuck it below the image so I guess that's butterflies covered. All items available from http://www.craftden.co.uk/

I love reading and I always read before I go to sleep it relaxes me.I made a bookmark ages ago but I seem to have lost it, so I thought I would combine inking up one of my precious stamps have you looked on eBay at them lately!!!!!!!! crikey. I got mine last year when the company started selling them I got 1each of the first sets anyway I digress as always lol
The image is stamped with memento ink love this stuff you can do anything with it. I have used prismas today you can see them all in the background thought it looked a bit arty maybe not it actually looks messy heyho that's the way it goes, I've not used them much lately so it was a change I do like them and the bazzil and GCD backing paper (Ella Blue) is from the http://craftden.co.uk. Wow two posts in a week that's some going at the moment. This is my card another bad pic I'm afraid tut tut be glad when summer comes. The recipe is BO bunny paper kitchen spice? on brown bazzil then a strip of great lakes bazzil with 3 gromlets set into it then a brad at the end and in the flowers at the side and if you look really close there are 2 eyelets set in on the centers of the two printed flowers on the BO bunny paper. the flowers and sentiment are from my stash everything else is from Lynne athttp://craftden.co.uk so 2 brads 2 eyelets & 3 gromlets is that actually what they are called I had to fix the eyelet and gromlets by hand coz Ive broken my big bite oops just don't ask its a tool and I cant use anything technical lol. This was Helen a friend of mines birthday card don't know how old she was ha ha. The colour looks a bit washed out on the photo why do I always take them at night not a good idea.

I have done this card as though the little minx is booting the 50 into next year Helen did not want to be 50 and I don't either that's actually half way to a century.The papers are bazzil and some from my stash ie no idea where they came from or what they are lol the sentiment is a play on its my party and ill cry if i want to and its a lotv stamp that's called its my party so thanks for the inspiration

This is a double page spread from Sara and James's book they loved it and at one point there was even a tear in the eye, hay ho happy memories of a brilliant day and entertaining speeches too Sara's dad was quite funny actually as you can tell from Sara's face.

I hope everyone has had a great Christmas we have and we all have eaten far too much of course and I shall look like a quality street. Ill work on that later lol

Delilah has grown still a maniac at the side of my little grumpy old man(that's the dog) he is not impressed, they went back this morning sob, sob, miss Sara terribly, well, miss them all but the other two are in Sheffield so that is not so bad so to cheer myself up I started to tidy up the craft room after the marathon scrapbookathon I don't know about anyone else I am sick of Chrimbo cards I thought I may start next years but just couldn't face it lol.I have taken some more pics of other pages and will show them later bye for now xx

I am free! I got the car out and got to Tescos mind you I didn't know there was a war on or it was Christmas eve or the end of civilization had come or even Tescos was closing down I need a brandy crikey it was mad, cars abandoned car park full and I mean full, sooo many people and then when I got back the men on the road had cleared it all completely all the snow gone. Then Dianne from next door and I cleared the drive and the car is on there now. People on here are so lovely I have never known such community spirit ohhh such an exciting day!!!!!!!!

Its Holly's birthday on the 9Th of DEC so as I am incarcerated in a what feels like prison a very warm and comfy prison but a prison all the same I thought I would get ahead of myself so here is Holly's card a beautiful lotv image and sentiment, bo bunny papers and flowers from http://www.craftden.co.uk/ which I glimmer misted with starfish a couple of times to get the red that matches the hearts on the paper, I think the bow maybe a bit large I just need to mount it on a card and seeing as I have SOOOO much time at the mo I may decorate the inside.

Its snowing again here in Norton Lees I am so glad my building can't start till Feb ho ho can you imagine if it had started now as I wanted, ohhh doesn't bare thinking about lol

This is the decking, I'm not going out. Joe cleared a bit for link but he wasn't having it, he followed Joe to the front of the house and did a poo in lovely deep clean snow then Joe had to get it up before link jumped in it, it was funny but maybe you had to be there lol

Here we are on week 26 and this week its animals over at http://anythingchallenge.blogspot.com/, hmm what to do I decided to do a scrapbook page with my "baby" Link or Linky as we call him stupid name but he came with it, as the subject looks just like his mummy doesn't he lol. He looks just as though he is kissing his piggy toy cute or what?The papers are Bo bunny I just love these papers the quality is fantastic I have punched round the edge with an ek success punch "paw prints" then added TWO not ONE, TWO crochet flowers these are my precious, precious stash they were made for me under blackmail conditions by one of my lovely ladies at the hairdressers Hazel who I have known all my life I turned on the sad face and said I needed (coz wanted gets nothing) some but they were soooooooo expensive sniff sniff so she made me half a dozen in white and then I glimmer misted them, I am soo evil and basically stingy.The letters are from two sets I'd not got enough of one set so I had to mix them up in fact I wanted it to say give us a kiss but I had completely run out of Ss so it reads ME

Then I just piled on the flowers with gems and pearls all clashing colours and all sizes and added two heart pins. Lynne really cracked on and sometimes we had to laugh you cant chat and listen at the same time sorry Lynne but it was a good day and she (who's she cats mother) sorry Lynne is running another on 4Th Dec so taken another day off work and am looking forward to it.
Back to the card a fabulous magnolia image coloured with copics I'm enjoying the change having got my copics back, yes you know who you are Lissy and WHO now says she loves colouring but find making the cards difficult don't we all thinking up stuff, whew its hard work lol oh yes the card sorry, the background is another magnolia stamped and covered in glamour dust the sky is distress ink stormy sky the flower is a Martha Stewart poinsettia and finally a layered Martha Stewart snowflake all layered on to navy blue dotted Swiss x

week 25 let it snow..

Wow week 25 already I cant believe it that's almost 6 months of challenges. Now on Saturday I went to Craftden for some R&R and did I need it you know how you just have one of those weeks anyway I digress I had a really good day made four cards just need to add the finishing touches,but back to this weeks challenge "LET IT SNOW"
This is my card,It is Tilda and Edwin dancing round the lamppost in the snow that's twinklets on the bottom of the card I hope you can see them. I have copic coloured the image for a change the colours are B00 and B02 and B95 B97 B39 the hair is E37 E47 I think that's right I forgot to write them down, Dohh no surprise there then lol

The paper is Bo Bunny and it has embossed snowflakes on it then its mounted on some pearl dark blue card and there are a couple of pieces of each of them on the card and snowflakes in the same card layered up and finished with a gem The sentiment is one from http://craftden.co.uk/ that I bought ages ago but I have also used it a lot.
I hope you like it I'm not sure, I seem to have lost my way again,everything seems boring and all the same, thank heavens for Lynne's Christmas card Saturdays for some new input, next one at the beginning of December, have a look on the Craftden website its well worth it

anything goes challenge, Embossing

This is this weeks challenge post and this week it is embossing so I have gone a little mad.The pictures actually are not that good bit of a light issue at this time of year. I have used GCD peace and joy I love these papers they are foiled and EMBOSSED w-hay first one then I turned it over because they are double sided (don't you love that more for your dosh) and DRY EMBOSSED it on the bigshot I'm telling you that is coming with me when I am buried I love that machine, next I cut the Santa sentiment and TRIPLE EMBOSSED that and lastly versamarked and clear EMBOSSED the edges of the nestability that Tilda is mounted on. That's embossing covered.

The edges of the paper were distressed with Tim Holtz distressing tool. Tilda is distress inked with Victorian velvet. The little green bow is a papermania one and under that is a tiny little gold safety pin with two tiny bells attached. The poinsettia has been twinkled to death it is a Marianne die and the gold bits in the poinsettia are from my Christmas stash.

Another Wedding Scrapbook Page

Here's another page is this getting boring now? This is the order of service and the menu. Sara and James printed and decorated the order of service but had the menus printed elsewhere.
This time the backing paper is brown bazzil and another Paris nights paper. The flowers and butterflies are spritzed with gold shimmer and edged in old faithful frayed burlap and that's all there is to it.
At this moment Ive got Bugsy Malone on film 4 hopefully drowning out the fireworks so Link wont hear them oops its obviously not loud enough there he goes barking and racing all over like something demented. I love this film so many famous faces Jodie Foster as Tallulah and Scott Biao as Bugsy priceless, great memories of the late 70s of a long gone teenager lol mind you the girls loved it too when it was on telly so much they bought the DVD and CD so maybe I'm not so weird. Anyway I better see if I can keep link calm!!!!!!!!!!! Have a great weekend x

I think you could say this is a B. its week 23 on http://anythingchallenge.blogspot.com/ I have done another page for Sara's book the paper is from the Paris nights collection from Lynne at http://craftden.co.uk/ mounted on cream bazzil then I stamped on the page which I used to do a lot. the stamps are also from craftden one is a Kelly Panacci but I have had it a long time its from the love collection the other is a little ivy stamp and I don't know what that one is sorry but it was from Lynne's. I cut the massive B on the cricut( yes I've got it back for a limited time before Lissy from http://lissyslittlelovelys.blogspot.com/ comes and pinches it again)and cut some of the flourishes from the spare patterned paper and added a couple of pearls from my stash.I love this picture of Sara she looks so regal great memories of a great day xx

This is the second page of Sara's and James wedding scrapbook I wanted it to look architectural so used a sizzix die which actually is a hello kitty one and cut it half but to soften the page I added a gold gem and frayed burlapped the edges then added a die cut flower from the K and co elegance collection

I am going to have to get a wiggle on because there are quite a few photos to use I don't usually do 2 pics on a page but Ive got to get them all in and I have lots of other thing i.e. order of service sample fabric, place cards, etc crikey I better get a move on oh well no rest for the wicked and we all know the answer to that don't be wicked but then life would be boring ha ha xx

Black and white is this weeks theme on http://anythingchallenge.blogspot.com/ and this week I thought I would have a change and so I have started Sara and James's wedding album its going to be in black white and cream with gold and brown accents,I am going to have to get a wiggle on if its going to be done by Christmas.
This has a black bazzil background with an off white sheet on top and I punched the edge. The torn paper under the picture is a K&Co paper that Lynne at http://www.craftden.co.uk/ got me, its from the elegance collection, the flowers are layered Tim's tattered floral die and white flower coloured with a black copic pen and a pearl or sparkly brad in the middle the swirls are also a sizzix die and then I followed the shape with a string of sticky pearls then the letters were copic penned with black again and then dusted over with glamour dust. I have started to colour my flowers, gems, pearls and anything else I need co-ordinating because you never have the right colour.I have enjoyed the change and the challenge so why don't you come and join us xx

just finished last weeks scrap class layout, Bo bunny paper on cream bazzil,Magnolia doo hickey flowers in the coral and leaves in a contrast paper, but I needed more and remembered I had a Marianne flower die which is similar so used that and put heart pearls in the centre. The alphas are k and co all mixed because as ALWAYS I didn't have enough of one type but they do go together so it doesn't matter and just put the date at the bottom and a pearl swirl at the side

Sorry about the picture its bad may try to change it later This weeks challenge was ribbon this was difficult as I tried to be clever and that never works. A Christmas card already I cant believe it It is my first finished one its for this weeks anything goes challenge. The back image is straight its just my photography. Recipe: magnolia images get them at http://craftden.co.uk/ coloured with copics, Bo Bunny papers and twinkles(?) on the hood, headband and snowflake, spotty red ribbon tied round bottom.The sparkles don't really show up, the holly berries have glossy accents on them to make them shine.The snowflake is a sizzix die.

This is this weeks challenge card using extremely old stamps and some fabulous bo bunny papers they are soo fab that Chanelle (angelwhispers) has used the same how spooky is that. I was going for elegance and I love these papers pity tricky drawing round a plate and keeping the cutting out neat. What a weekend I'm shattered link is upstairs shattered and sulking we have had Sara and James for the weekend not that you would recognise her she has gone RED not sure about it but she likes it its a change hmmmm. They brought Delilah, OH MY WORD she was all over the place mad absolutely mad beautiful but mad she is 3 months old, Link is coming up 7 yrs old it was like a 50 yr old bloke (a miserable one) being chased constantly by a toddler he was pleased to see her go home he positively sighed with relief lol mind you I did, I WILL NEVER HAVE A PUPPY NEVER . It was great to see them I do miss them but they have got their hands full.What a cutie

Another week has gone by crumbs soon be Christmas at this rate where has the year gone(bit deep there). Any way this is my challenge card this week "cute" is the basis well I think she is, recipe: BO Bunny Alissa papers a magnolia image, Easter this year or was it last year not sure distress inked with weathered wood and Victorian velvet some flowers and a sentiment from Blonde Moments.
Better get back to painting the bathroom which I should have done last week but the fitters are fitting the vinyl on Fri so better get a move on the problem is its only the ceiling and skirting so it wont take long but I keep finding other thing to do,i.e. this post , cataloging my magnolia stamps (don't go there its a thick book ) watching diagnosis murder,(dont go there either lol) walking the dog anything except GETTING ON WITH IT, right Im going now bye xxx

Went along to the craftden last night and had soooo much fun. This is my page its a pic of Holly and me at the end of Sara's wedding Its a good job it was the end coz my hair has gone as flat as a pancake mind you," you can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear " or" you can't do much with nine hairs and a broken one" oh good job you can laugh.

week 16 cant believe it

Week 16 already cant believe it where is the time going. This week its oriental and as I have been having a sort out I found some papers that Ive had forever and a stamp Ive had even longer.Ive stamped the image and cut paper pieces over certain areas on the stamp then distress painted the background. I have keep it all to the two papers and added a couple of elements i.e. one silk topped brad and the sentiment that came with the papers x

This is the story so far punches neatly arranged' prisma pencils in one "paint tin" paper stumps and paint brushes in the other pots with brads in are in the little hanging basket.

The shelves are not full yet (give me time though) oh Ive just noticed Ive not put the lid on those flowers. Dunelmn plastic boxes and Ikea jars and those bar things are brill just need a few more.

Everything has yet to be labeled and I have to admit there is a lot more to go at. I think my dad may have to cut some more of his precious recycled white contiplas, it used to be wardrobes, he loves it when something he insisted on keeping comes in handy (he was a war baby)So I must thank Alicia for her and Joe's hard work last week and Dads white shelving.

This is my anything goes challenge card autumn decided to keep it simple, papers are from a 6x6 pad called material girl by cosmo cricket from the craft den and the stamp is the free one from craft stamper mag also from Lynne at the craft den.

The reason I decided to be simple this week was I got in a right mess earlier I thought ooo autumn Ill do a Tilda walking through leaves to school, NO sentiment NOT one that was suitable the printer has some nasty illness and smudges so I used individual letter stamps umh even the tiny ones were too big it ended in the bin twice!!!So I gave up I know I'm a quitter but I was losing my sanity and it would have been lovely. So the moral of this story is, always buy sentiments even when you never think you will need it, now I am on a all encompassing sentiment search, ha ha x

This was my craft room on sat morning before Alicia got her bossy hands on it mind you I do need a kick up the ..ss lol They have done a fabulous job, that horrible curtain has gone. The table is still there that's my craft table its a mess but it is the right height and you can get loads on it
this is the spare room (see below) piled high with stuff and all I have to do is get it put away in the new craft room which I will unveil in a couple of days but how much stuff is there!! That's quite bad really no really it is somewhere in there are my clothes didn't think to remove them lol. I now have shelves and nice thingies from ikea for my punches and pots for flowers and errrrr oh plastic see through boxes so I can see my bits and bobs so although its not as posh as it was going to be, its great (didn't want to spend the money) just need to find something to put my stamps in so they don't get crushed and damaged and so I can see them, nothing more annoying than finding you have three of the same stamp!!! been known to happen x

I truly cannot believe its week 14 of anything goes challenge already. This is my card this week a magnolia image distress ink coloured basic grey first layer and then more flower paper from wild rose studio (Milton)and loads of flower embellies as is the challenge, everything is distress edged in frayed burlap and all except the sentiment which is an old stash one are from the craftden, many thanks for popping by x

Did myself a bit of therapy yesterday and this afternoon. I've coloured a few images I've stamped, very therapeutic mind you I should have been ironing my uniform for work yesterday lets say I looked a bit creased at 7am today oops (am i bovered??) but colouring was less stressful and this afternoon I just carried on Holly had link for the day, Alicia and Joe popped round to take him out tonight after tea, so he's happy and I'm totally chilled which makes a change lol I have even done the dt work for the anything goes challenge tomorrow dont faint

just got to remember to load it tomorrow x

three layers at a push!!!

Hi it has been an absolute age since I blogged last been so busy and my mojo has gone south for the summer but I did do a card a while back and thought I may get away with it at a push!There are three layers of card and three flowers layered up (only two layers there shhh)

It is a lily of the valley stamp, distress coloured and layered on to some papers (no idea what they are) hope to get crafting again soon

The house is coming together slowly the extension has been drawn a builder has given me a price two more to come "HOW MUCH??###*****"LOL came the loud reply,but I want it and I want it now I'll get over it. The bathroom is coming on though got rid of the bath and am having lovely large shower, but things are a bit primative at the moment!!!!!! so on that note I'm going to clear up and have a nice cup of tea.

Here's my stars and stripes card for the anything goes challenge close run thing but done it actually it was a rejigged card I did a couple of weeks ago before the house took over my life.

It already had the stripes so I cut a few stars and added them , distress inked the image and edged all the card with frayed burlap. The image is a new lotv (lily of the valley) little boy and I think he is so cute and probably naughty too. x

This is the view outside my kitchen door and I love it the garden is quiet and the woods are beyond, mind you magpies are soo noisy but its better than traffic.

This is the kitchen minus fridge and washer but its not staying its coming out and an extension is planned mind you its getting out of control lol it started as a kitchen dinning room now a utility and downstairs loo is being thought about (you know old age and incontinence )
And finally this is the front room no telly yet but I loved the fireplace thought it was lime stone lol "buyer beware" its MDF looks good though well it will when that paper is off and the furniture is arranged and put back together instead of being dumped down anywhere. I am shattered as it has needed a clean (and some) thank the lord for fairy power spray, but by the weekend (WHICH ONE!!)I should be almost be there.So what this is, it is my excuse for not doing my DT work for Lynne I will try better next week miss but I cant promise ha ha xx

Thurs is moving day all being well,if it all goes to plan.
I have had a weekend and a half I've bought a washing machine a new fangled telly and a fridge, organised new house insurance trying to organise council tax but they are busy at the moment I've decided to wait till I get in to order a new suite coz of sizes of doors etc and this new house is now the size of a shoe box in my mind.SO anyway Mums got the flags out (I could be hurt) she has just said I'm not hoovering round this table again till its gone I think the stress is showing lol. I shall not have time to craft for the next couple of weeks so I have stored up a few things (forgot about them actually)and I shall post them as and when I get bored of seeing the same post every day on my blog and so you all think I'm so industrious ha ha x

anything goes challenge

This week I made two projects for the anything goes challenge the theme is vintage and as I was under the weather on Fri (cannot eat curry ever again:( ) so I did a scrapbook page and a magnolia easel card. The papers I used for the page are black market ones torn and cut out and layered all distressed with brushed corduroy and the letters are coloured with copics. On the card I have used Tim distressing tool on every edge and torn a bit of paper then again gone round every edge with brushed corduroy Thanks for stopping by xx

Week 4 on Anything Goes Challenge was a bit of a challenge itself I was sooo busy last week with the wedding but I got it done thanks in part to sketch Saturday who saved my life again what would we do without them and Friday sketchers too, Magnolia cupcake on mixed paper background from wild rose studio, candy floss is the name and the image is coloured with copics mounted on bazzil everything except the tiny cupcake is from the craft den and that is actually mums (I pinched it!) x

All shades of GREEN even the HAIR

This weeks challenge on anything goes challenge is buttons and bows and monochrome i.e. all shades of one colour so.... I wanted to use my basic grey papers which are mostly green a little brown (poetic licence) but the Tilda image is ALL shades of green even her hair its all distress inks and the hair is crushed olive, clever eh looks yellow doesn't it.

The buttons are a sizzix die which I love the ribbon was coloured with bundled sage the picture does not really do it justice but I have to say it was a challenge and that's what its about.

This is my entry for the anything goes blog. Its an old choc box, Easter egg shaped painted with gesso after a gentle rub over with sand paper then painted cream on the inside and out and covered it inside with cream bazzil and stamped it. Ive pleated cream lace and stuck it under the lid then cut a pink bo bunny paper backing stuck a few roses on and then mounted a magnolia image that I'd experimented with coloured distress inks for the bridesmaids cards (see previous post, everything comes in useful), I then added some extra pearls. I hope you like it x

These are the thank you cards for the bridesmaids at Sara's wedding only 10 days to go can't believe it no panic or anything but the dress maker rang on Sat to say couldn't fit my dress it wasn't ready EEK! but she has assured me it will be ready on Thurs so 3 days to lose 10 stone ha ha but then it won't fit so back to the chocs, any way I've gone off on a tangent again. Back to the cards the pics are coloured with prismas and all that blending has killed my elbow but I think actually its worth it BO bunny papers which I love and some wedding day ribbon layered on organza ribbon on top of some erm.... not sure what you would call it lacey cobwebby stuff or pretty tat maybe!!! Back tomorrow with the anything goes challenge x

Great news Lynne has started a new blog http://anythingchallenge.blogspot.com/ and I'm greatly honoured to be part of her design team thanks Lynne.this is my card the first challenge is wings and the colours blue brown and yellow. This was all a challenge NO PINK !!!

I have used a magnolia stamp (as usual) and distress inked it with brushed corduroy tumbled glass and scattered straw and stickled the wings for some added bling the watering can is weathered wood the papers are basic grey origins and a few prima flowers in the garden scattered around . the pin through the magnolia banner with a woodware sentiment on it was a homemade one a headpin two beads and some glossy accents and bish bash bosh a blingy pin I think I got that off Sandra's blog http://sandrasplace-sandra.blogspot.com/ a while ago. everything I have used is available from Lynne at the http://www.craftden.co.uk/

I'm staying at the best hotel in town and I have to say I may NEVER move out Meals cooked and on the table, washing done, mind you the maid refuses to do the ironing! lol.So on Sunday I stamped several images of Tilda and spent all day distress ink painting them. I was so chilled I thought I could stop taking the blood pressure tablets (only kidding) but I felt more relaxed than I have done for ages Thanks mum and dad for your hospitality, its been great and I really appreciate it mwah love you both XX
This is one of the images I painted its a Tilda from craft den along with the papers which are beautiful but I don't know which they are sorry, help me out Lynne what are they called????the sentiment is a magnolia one from my stash,the blue bazzil was stamped with a tiny flower, no gems dare not look for them I'll get killed in an avalanche of my possessions, right now I better get off my posterior and help with tea or the peasants may revolt and kick me out ha ha x

An award and a card!!

I would just like to say thanks to Kerry http://agirlwhojustlovestocraft.blogspot.com/ for her award she has given me (not sure of the protocol for this) I'm thrilled by this "THANK YOU".

The card I have made is very simple mainly coz I can't get my stuff from mums attic as all my worldly goods are in the way!!!! lol I bought some magnolia stamps at the Birmingham show but can I find them can I heck. There must have been 7 or 8 of them I put them in a safe place (fatal that isn't it). These are the new maid marion and robin hood stamps they are so cute I've coloured them with distress inks and cut the edge with a sizzix die and stuck a pin in the love ticket Dont know who its for but I just had to do a card with them. Its good to create again even if I dont have ALL my crafty bits.

As all my craft den friends know the only thing so far that has made me emotional about this move is.................. leaving the shed door!!! WHY? because the girls had so much fun painting the door with their names like calamity Jane and Kate in calamity Jane one of their all time favs along with seven brides for seven brothers. Sara came up this weekend so I grabbed them for some piccys because all being well and IF everything goes to plan we hand over the keys on Thurs. I'm moving in with mum and dad for a while till the house that I want goes through, nearly forty nine (sounds better than nearly fifty) and moving back with your parents poor them but I cannot thank them enough as they are storing everything and I mean everything, boxes, youngest child, dog, furniture and me AND ALL MY CRAFT STUFF!!! x I'll be back later will a few pics of Sara's hen day busy busy that's me but I haven't lost weight worst luck lol xx

As I am moving house the time has come to pack up the whole house. My wardrobe took two large boxes and I am living out of a small case packed with unmentionables (undies) and the hanger on the back of the door filled with work stuff and a couple of nicer outfits ( just in case but no chance) so that's emptied, then came my craft room OMG I need therapy there was so much stuff AND I couldn't throw anything away its taken me 2 days to box it up.... gulp... I'm downsizing not up sizing I'll deal with it later if I don't look its not there lol Anyway this is my work deskjust got to pack the mat the table looks a bit sad on its own doesn't it mind you the room looks enormous. Just got to clean it then 1 down loads more to go hopefully we should be gone soon
the uncertainty is killing me I have been here nearly 28 years good and bad and I will be sad to go but its toooo big for just me and linkyloo so I might post moving house traumas but crafting is on hold for a while x

This is my craftden layout from er quite a few weeks ago (bad girl) The recipe is black bazzil and basic grey origins paper the paper is so lovely that I thought it didn't need very much else on it so I just left the lace and distressed handmade flower as stand alone embellies the obligatory pin and a bit of tied net just finished it. The letters are just chipboard painted with dabbers stamped on, rubbed over with stickles frosted lace like Tim does with the finger In the flesh the letters do show up more it says "c'est moi" which is Sara very individual. Its her birthday today 24 today her bestest bestest BESTEST pressy are Tiffany pearl earrings that she will wear when she gets married in June.
