that darn icy weather

Just before Christmas (that seems a long time ago) we should have done this page at craft den but the bad weather came and the class was cancelled till a fortnight ago when the class did it only I was still iced up at home. So, I bought the pages last week and have done my take on it.
The papers are Black market paper society I used an old doily and sprayed it with olive vine glimmer mist see bottom left hand side, cut and layered the roses and added some lace used some lime green stickles on the printed swirl, cut and stamped a sizzix postcard die and finally added a hat pin and ribbon as an ode to that hat of my great grandma.
The pic is of my grandma with her mother in law on the beach and really by the page elements you would think they were abroad but actually its Scarborough poetic licence its allowed I hope.
My gran looks so elegant whats that scarf about round her neck she looks as though shes just flown in in her own bi-plane and great grandma, full dress and a ram rod back no slouching there she must have been boiled, oh you have to laugh. sorry I'm waffling again. thanks for popping by x

Thurs night class finished wayhay!

Here is my take on the craftden scrap class on Thurs as usual its "my girls" when we went to Streatly to see Sara and Jay
I really like these black and white papers we used a sizzix swirl and covered with black card to which I added a few platinum pearly doodles and a stamp that says to love is to live life at its fullest. I always used to use stamps on pages at one time but not lately anyway I did today the flowers are punched out and layered up with pinflair glue in a syringe first time for me and believe me that is not as easy as it looks. the title is just chipboard letters coloured with black copic and the flourishes are done with black stickles and a flourish template which was also a first time. thanks for looking

Helens birthday

This is another easel card for my work friend Helen she's just 6 months older than me so I'm very vocal about her age till half way through June then I suddenly go quiet.
This is a sugar Nellie manga stamp coloured with distress inks coz I didn't have my copics did I Alicia?! the paper is wisteria (I think) from craft den on navy bazzil a buckle spellbinder die a few flowers from the never ending stash of flowers organza ribbon a woodware sentiment from craftden and a nestie background on nearly forgot embossed navy mount and there you are done. Thanks for looking.

Happy birthday Alicia

Happy birthday Alicia
This is a card I made this week when the snow came. This is for Alicia 26 on the 8th and in York for a birthday treat, mind you the snow has come down again so they could be there for months. These cards are easel cards & I love them, the Bo bunny papers and gorgus girls stamp too.. The photo does not show the card stood up there is a reason for this and that is my old moan I cannot get the photos in a line without throwing the computer through the window and if I showedthe card stood up then the detail is lost. Anyway on a happier note Lissy loved the card and her pressy of some CRAFTING STUFF inc. some of her own copics and stamps so my copics are coming back to mummy and are "mine all mine my precious" ha ha.York was beautiful but cold and Lissy had a great time and a great birthday and they are going to Chelsea park sledging today with Holly and Link.

This is beyond a joke !!!!!!!!!!!!!! apart from my mistake that was funny

This is my garden this afternoon and its still coming down, now I know it looks pretty, but and this is a big but, I had to come home early from one job, hairdressing and couldn't get to the other one, that is checkout assistant ha ha thank you Ann but actually maybe right ( I actually put ass. instead of assistant) best laugh all day any back to my story, in a large well known supermarket no work no pay!!but I decided my safety was worth more (I think)lol so I took this photo, in the background is usually the Hallamshire hospital its been missing most of the day and Lynne that's my washing line on left hand side you can see the depth on the table. Link loves it and has been hyper all afternoon so I suppose it is perhaps worth it and it is really beautiful and got two cards done too.
